What's that again? - Harry Potter translations, part 3

Welcome back! I hope you had a pleasant winter break and started the new year with tons of energy. Now that the whole holiday season is over I'm going to continue posting the Harry Potter translations, starting with words I think are important (or at least they are used often). Some of these will probably come up in other posts as well, so don't be surprised if something looks familiar.
As always, everything marked with a * has explanations under the list.

Blood status - Vér státusz
Blood traitor - Véráruló
Half-Blood – Félvér
Mudblood - sárvérű
Muggle – Mugli
**No-Maj - Magnix
*Pure-Blood – Aranyvérű
Squib – kvibli

2016 is over. Good riddance.

After more than a month I am back! While I was away 2016 ended (finally) and we started 2017.
Fortunately 2017 has already been better - at least for me. I'm not sure what changed because seemingly everything stayed the same but at the same time things have been better. It kinda seems like by saying "fuck you 2016" at midnight on New Years (or I might have shouted it, earning a disapproving look from my mum, but that's not important) something finally clicked to it's place. But more of that later.

I usually don't make a list with new year's resolutions, because let's face it, most of us will forget about those by the end of the first week. Instead I set 3 realistic goals for this year.

  1. Get a job: 99% there. Still waiting on some paperwork, but I have a contract already. I'll say I have job when I'm already at the placement. I'll write a blog post about it soon.
  2. Make at least one bigger cosplay this year.
  3. Read at least one book every month. This month I finished reading The Red Pyramid, and read Blue Lily, Lily Blue. So far, so good.
Some other goals that are not on the list are: draw more, work on LaPe (my story), continue writing Nwit (Voltron fan fiction), post frequently on this blog, go to a new con (possibly Salón del Manga de Barcelona).

What's to come in the next few weeks/moths:
  • More Harry Potter translations (classes, potions and ingredients and plants, magical creatures, spells and curses and hexes and jinxes, magical items, sweets and foods, quidditch, book titles, grades, important words)
  • A post about gender fluidity
  • A post about my experience with the training week this job required
  • Probably weekly posts about my work
  • Post(s) comparing anime conventions in Hungary and Spain (and what I know about American cons)
  • Possibly a few Hungarian recipes
  • Maybe a post about my process of doing gifs for my Percy Jackson ask blog.
  • Probably posts about the UK, things I found weird, UK vs Spain vs Hungary posts, things like that
  • Our experience with moving to Spain from Hungary. (including the move, paperwork, rent, school, things we miss, things we like, etc)
  • What I read this month
  • Personal miscellaneous posts

Take care of yourself and I'll see you in the next post.
Oh, and don't forget

CONSTANT VIGILANCE!
